Multiple Teams · Lady Indian soccer rolls through first round of district play


The lady Indian soccer team completed the first round of 23-5A district play undefeated with a 6-0 win against Marshall last night. The lady Indians scored 1-0 wins over Elkins, Texas City, and Galena Park in the first round along with a 3-1 defeat of Ball, a 9-0 victory over Willowridge, 5-0 over Shadow Creek and 5-1 over Manvel. This year team is the most balanced Santa Fe team in recent history with 13 different people scoring goals and using a total team defensive mentality to only allow 2 goals in the first 8 games of district play. The Lady Indians have a huge task this Friday as they travel to Elkins to play the 2nd place Lady Knights.
