Santa Fe Indians Varsity defeated Baytown Lee 12-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Faith Boles induced a fly out from A Cazares to finish off the game.
Ciara Trahan collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Santa Fe Indians Varsity to victory. Trahan singled in the third, singled in the fourth, tripled in the sixth, and tripled in the seventh.
One bright spot for Baytown Lee was a single by L Jarvis in the second inning.
Mady Blake led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Santa Fe Indians Varsity. She lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero.
J Mckay led things off in the circle for Baytown Lee. She went four innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and walking one. Jarvis threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Santa Fe Indians Varsity socked one home run on the day. Rylie Bouvier went yard in the third inning.
Santa Fe Indians Varsity collected 12 hits. Trahan, Juliana Garcia, Bouvier, and Kailey Jones each collected multiple hits for Santa Fe Indians Varsity. Trahan led Santa Fe Indians Varsity with four hits in five at bats. Santa Fe Indians Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Carlee Garwood made the most plays with 11.
